As a Wisconsin native, I am legally obligated to love Bon Iver, which is good because I really, really do. With that said, one of their most popular song, Holocene, meant pretty much nothing to me for the longest time, but last summer that changed. It went from being just a song to something more, and it had more to do with where I was at in life than anything else. Finding meaning in music is something we all end up doing, and this is a little story about how Holocene started to mean something to me.
