David Jones and Friends: These Digital Times presented by the Melbourne International Jazz Festival

Melbourne’s award-winning David Jones is often described as one of the most musical drummers in the world. While his technical mastery is astonishing, his focus is always on creating beautiful music that defies genre through improvising in the moment.
For this performance, Jones has invited his friends Stephen Magnusson (guitar) and Evri Evripidou (six-string bass and effects) to join him in a free-flowing borderless, tantalizing exploration of new territory. Individually these three masters possess their own intuitive sense of colour and texture, with a wide spectrum of sounds to draw upon.
