Wagner: Die Meistersingers @ The Royal Albert Hall 2010. part 1

Missed the very beginning of the broadcast before I decided to record it. In retrospect I'm glad I did, because one thing's for certain this performance will never see the light of day again; in the usual fashion of the BBC. I Hope it doesn't distract too much however. A concert performance of the great work, divided into five bite-sized chunks. The Orchestra and Chorus of Welsh National Opera performing Wagner's Die Meistersinger von Nurnberg, conducted by Music Director, Lothar Koenigs. Bryn Terfel playing Hans Sachs the visionary shoemaker. Amanda Roocroft as Eva and Christopher Purves as Beckmesser. July 2010.
