UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador and international figure-skating sensation Yuna Kim appears in a new video spot on meeting the needs of the world's most vulnerable children. UNICEF released the public service announcement in advance of the upcoming Millennium Development Goals Summit at the United Nations. In the spot, Ms. Kim emphasizes that children are at the heart of the development goals -- including fighting hunger and extreme poverty, child and maternal mortality, and gender inequality, as well as securing primary education for all, stopping the spread of HIV/AIDS, malaria and other diseases, and protecting the environment.
